Cynthia S. Legault, CFP®, Principal
Cindy has been in the retirement plans business since 1981 and in retirement consulting since 1987.  She obtained her CFP® Certification in 2004 and is currently enrolled in the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® Program to be completed in 2018.  She graduated from Westbrook College (now University of New England) in 1980 with an Associate of Science degree in Merchandising, and in 1990 from Lesley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Behavior.

She started Financial Navigators as a sole practitioner in 1996 working with corporations on retirement plans and after completion of her CFP® in 2004 she started working with individuals investing assets and providing financial planning services. Financial Navigators is now comprised of two principals and 6 employees, 4 of which actively provide financial planning counseling services to Dartmouth-Hitchcock employees, and one who arranges the meetings for FFA. Cindy has been working with Dartmouth-Hitchcock since 1987 when she was employed with KPMG in Boston and has provided individual counseling services to D-H employees since 2006 when the Financial Fitness Advisors was formed.

Cindy provides one-on-one financial planning counseling services in virtually every location of Dartmouth-Hitchcock from Nashua to St. Johnsbury, and Keene to Bennington.  She also presents to groups of employees at D-H in tandem with the Benefits Department.

Robert M. Maeder, CFP®, Principal
Bob is the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and CIO (Chief Investment Officer) for the firm.

Since 2005 he has focused on mid-career executives and recent retirees to help them craft personal family financial plans that will meet their life goals.  As the parent of a special needs adult, Bob encompasses his experience and insight to provide practical, effective strategies to families with similar needs.

Prior to becoming a Financial Planner he had over 25yrs of focused Financial Management in small and large corporations in the areas of Manufacturing, Services Marketing, Strategic Planning, International Operations and due diligence on investment strategies for global asset placement.

Bob has a B.S. from Bentley University, an M.B.A. from Suffolk University, a Financial Planning Certificate from Merrimack College and is Series 65 licensed. Bob is a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Massachusetts Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA)

Christopher M.Tilden, CFP®, Investment Advisor
Chris joined FNI in January 2017 after spending 10 years as a financial planner for Fidelity Investments. His specialties include investment management and retirement income planning with a focus on asset distribution and income tax planning.

Prior to becoming a Financial Planner Chris was the Chief Financial Officer for a Boston-based music publishing, production, and promotions company. He is also a veteran of the US Navy, having served five years during the Gulf War as the financial manager for USS Theodore Roosevelt, CVN-71.

Chris has a B.S. in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and currently pursuing his Masters in Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning. He holds the coveted Certification of Financial Planning designation from Suffolk University and is a Certified Student Loan Professional. Chris is Series 66 licensed and carries his insurance license for VT, NH, and MA. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Northern New England Chapter.

When not working or studying Chris likes to spend time with his wife, Annie, and their dog Rosie walking/hiking in their home state of New Hampshire. As an avid musician he likes to write and record music in his home studio.

Marcia L. Lewis, Investment Advisor
Marcia is the CCO (Chief Compliance Officer) of the firm.

Marcia joined Financial Navigators in May of 2014. She is a Financial Advisor working with individuals to identify long-term retirement goals, offering guidance and strategies to optimize current options. Marcia has a Master’s Degree from Wheelock College, completed the Financial Planning Certificate Program at Boston University and is Series 65 licensed. She joined Financial Navigators with extensive experience in education, management and planning for families.  Marcia is a member of The Massachusetts Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Steve Goodall, Retirement Consultant
Steve focuses on optimizing FNI clients’ retirement savings. He is responsible for transferring clients’ assets from 403(b), 401(k), IRAs and other retirement accounts into an organized and consolidated retirement portfolio. Steve has over 30 years of experience in Retirement Plan Administration and understands the requirements to get the transfers done in the most efficient manner. Steve has a B.A. from SUNY and is Series 65 licensed.

Paula Gorman, Scheduling Manager
Paula schedules appointments, meetings, and work dates for FNI Advisors. She also coordinates company meetings and seminars, and assists in marketing strategy. Paula has a B.F.A. from Salem State College.
